Garlic Buttered Chicken

As I'm in the process of unleashing the chef inside of me, I thought of trying to cook buttered chicken. (And since tonight we're really hungry already, I need something that's easy to prepare and cook) :)

So here, Buttered Chicken instead of the usual Breaded Fried Chicken. :)

What you need:

  • 3/4 kg Chicken (legs and thigh)
  • 1 tbsp. Knorr seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 4 tbsp. Star Margarine (or any butter)
  • 1/2 cup fresh minced garlic (or garlic powder)
  • Oil for stir frying
What to do?

  • Mix chopped chicken, salt, pepper and knorr seasoning
  • Leave for 30mins to 1hr.
  • Stir fry chicken in high heat until golden brown. Set aside.
  • Heat butter/margarine on low heat
  • Add in garlic and stir
  • Stir in cooked chicken
  • Stir well until all chicken pieces are coated with butter mixture
  • Serve and Enjoy! :)

It does tastes good! I bet this one would taste even better if i marinated this for about 2 hours. Oh and yes, I think I'm enjoying trying out new recipes. ^_^

Breville Bread Maker (Baker's Oven) with fruit and nut dispenser

There's a world of breads beyond the bakery. And once you start experimenting, you'll find no end to the ingredients you'll want to add to spice up your loaves.
For the best flavoured loaves, ingredients like fruit, nuts and seeds need to be added at the right time in the kneading cycle for the bread to mix and rise correctly. Place your mix-ins in the automatic fruit and nut dispenser and it will add them at just the right time. With a 13 hour preset timer, any bread you want to create will be ready and still hot when you wake up.
For those wanting to be a bit more adventurous, use your own recipes with the manual setting to alter the programs so your bread is just the way you like it.

Enjoy and be the best baker you can imagine! :)

Easy Baked Macaroni and Cheese

Since i just started this blog today, (i have other blogs but i think i'll stick with this one :D ) I'll be posting previous events here. :)

This week, the inner chef in me became so active. I don't know if this is related to my pregnancy hormones changing every now and then :)) So last sunday, I wanted to do some baked macaroni and cheese. And so i tried.. my first time! :)

What you need:

  • 2 Tbsp. Butter
  • 2 Tbsp. All purpose flour
  • 1 Can Evaporated Milk
  • 2 Cups Grated Quickmelt Cheese
  • 1/2 Tsp. salt
  • 1/2 Tsp. ground pepper

  1. Prepare pasta according to instructions. Set aside.
  2. Melt butter in a saucepan over medium-low heat. Whisk in flour until smooth, stir constantly.
  3. Gradually whisk in milk about 5 minutes or until thickened.
  4. Remove from heat. Stir in salt and pepper.
  5. Add 1 cup grated cheese, and cooked pasta.
  6. Spoon pasta mixture into a lightly greased baking dish. Top with remaining 1 cup of cheese.
  7. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes or until bubbly. Let stand in 10 minutes before serving.
  8. Enjoy! :)
Another easy meryenda for everyone! The photo looks like an eggpie to me haha! but this tastes good and cheesy of course! :))

Creamy cheesy tuna carbonara

It's just a regular Tuesday afternoon and the internet connection is very slow. And, i got bored. I remember I have some elbow macaroni left (i made some baked mac and cheese last sunday, will post it soon!), and thought of cooking some tuna carbonara. I checked the fridge, and, no eggs!! But what the heck, i still got milk, cream and cheese here. Besides, they say raw egg is not good for pregnant woman. (I'm on my 5th month!). So, I decided to just go on with what I have in the kitchen.

Here's a very simple recipe. :)

  • 1 All Purpose Cream
  • 3/4 cup Carnation Evaporated Milk
  • 200mg Elbow Macaroni
  • 1 cup Grated Quickmelt Cheese
  • 180g Canned Tuna (drained)
  • 3 Tbsp. Butter
  • Pinch of Ground Pepper
  • Pinch of salt
What to do?

  1. Combine butter and tuna in a medium-heated pan. Continue stirring.
  2. Pour the all purpose cream and evaporated milk gradually. Stir.
  3. Put the grated cheese and continue stirring until sauce is thick.
  4. Add a pinch of pepper and salt to taste
  5. Continue stirring until desired thickness is achieved. Set aside.
  6. For the pasta: Bring water to boil. Add a pinch of salt then add pasta.
  7. Continue stirring for 10 minutes. Remove from heat and drain.
  8. Pour the sauce on top of the pasta and serve. :)
Easy right? And this one is very creamy and cheesy! Makes a great "meryenda" for everyone! :)
